Portal Pantura – Suzuki is set to launch its latest model, the Suzuki Frong, on May 28, 2025. This vehicle is claimed to be a game changer in the family car segment due to its combination of modern design, advanced features, and competitive pricing.
Stylish Exterior with a Modern Touch
From the exterior, the Suzuki Frong presents a fresher and sportier design. At the front, the car exudes a bold look with a wide LED bar, creating a modern and dynamic impression. The overfenders integrated with the body add to the robust appearance of the vehicle.
From the side, the Suzuki Frong’s design somewhat resembles the Subaru Frostrax. At the rear, it boasts a more masculine design with bold lines and connected LED taillights, giving it a premium visual appeal.
Interior: Functional and Advanced Features
Entering the cabin, the modern feel is maintained despite the predominantly hard plastic materials. However, Suzuki has added some soft-touch elements in certain areas to enhance comfort.
The dashboard adopts a design similar to the Baleno, including a large monitor displaying various advanced features. The Suzuki Frong is also equipped with a head-up display integrated with the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). Some ADAS features include Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Collision Traffic, and Cruise Control.
The steering system adopts the same design as the Ertiga and XL7 but now supports tilt and telescopic adjustments. Unfortunately, the center console storage remains limited, and the handbrake still uses a manual lever.
Comfort in the Second Row
Moving to the second row, the cabin space feels roomy enough for passengers with a height of 175 cm. Headroom and legroom are adequate, although there is not much additional storage space in the second row.
Trunk: Quite Functional
The Suzuki Frong offers a 60:40 rear seat configuration, allowing for flexible trunk space. The cargo capacity is sufficient for daily needs, though not particularly spacious. There is also a spare tire with a different size located underneath the trunk.
Pricing and Market Potential
Suzuki has not yet announced the official price of the Frong, but it is expected to be positioned below the XL7, which is currently Suzuki’s top model in the family car segment. If the Frong is priced under IDR 300 million, its sales potential is expected to be high, especially for consumers seeking a budget-friendly family hybrid car.
In addition to its design and features, Suzuki is also offering a hybrid battery warranty of 8 years or up to 160,000 km, which could serve as an additional selling point for potential buyers.
